• Unemployment soars in April

In April, more than 26,000 French people registered with Pôle emploi in category A (+ 0.7%). The total number of unemployed, all categories combined, stands at 5.3 million. Minister François Rebsamen nevertheless stays the course and announces the creation of 100,000 additional subsidized contracts this year.

• Always more fraud detected and sanctioned

The number of frauds detected and sanctioned by the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) increased by 56% in 2014. The institution however explains this strong increase by the establishment of a more efficient system.
